Born Margaret Elizabeth McLarty on September 13, 1933 in Asheville, North Carolina, Eileen Fulton's father was a preacher. She is widely known for the role of Lisa Grimaldi on the soap opera As the World Turns. She is known as the first "Bad Girl" on television, playing the role of Lisa so well that fans were sending in hate mail as a result of being affected by the character's emulation of an antagonist in the story. Fulton graduated from the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse and became a seasoned actress through roles on Broadway productions like Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and The Fantasticks. She also starred in the movie Girl of the Night, and off-Broadway productions like Abe Lincoln in Illinois, Many Loves, Summer of the Seventeenth Doll and Nite Club Confidential. In 1970, she was named Best Actress by the Daytime TV Magazine's reader's poll and in 1991, she was awarded with a Soap Opera Digest's Editor's Award. In 2003, she was again awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award.
Lisa Miller Grimaldi is played by Eileen Fulton on the soap opera As the World Turns. Lisa is an entrepreneur who owns a restaurant, clothing boutique, and co-owns a hotel. She is a conniving woman who got married eight times to eight different men. She had three sons, each from different husbands and four grandchildren. Her third son, Chuckie Shea, was killed in an automobile accident.
