American actress Alexandra Chando was born on July 28, 1986 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She made her acting debut in 2002, when she starred opposite Amy Yasbeck and Dan Cortese in the television movie House Blend. After graduating from Liberty High School in her hometown, she attended Manhattan College in New York City, when she was approached by the producers of the daytime soap As the World Turns with an offer.
She joined the program in 2005, originating the role of Maddie Coleman. She has a very close relationship with her brother Henry (Trent Dawson) because he was the only one who paid attention to her when she was growing up. As a proof, she was introduced in the drama trying to fix her brother’s relationship with his then wife, Katie (Terri Colombino). Another storyline saw her fall in love with Noah Mayer (Jake Silbermann), and later realizes that he is attracted to her best friend, Luke Snyder (Van Hansis). She left the series in 2007, when her character left Oakdale to study.
Chando was also featured in one episode of MTV’s do!$#!#entary series, True Life. The episode in which she appeared in followed her as she attempted to break into show business—which she just did.
