As the World Turns: Spoilers for this Week

as the world turnsLast week on As the World Turns, Gwen (Jennifer Landon) confided in Alison (Marnie Schulenburg) that she and Will (Jesse Soffer) are adopting, which eventually leads Alison to realize the similarities between Will and Gwen and Cole (Chris Heuisler) and Sofie's (Justine Cotsonas) adoptions. Luke (Van Hansis) confronted Lily Martha Byrne) about her affair with Dusty (Grayson McCouch), while Brad (Austin Peck) continued to pursue Katie (Terri Colombino).

This week, tension will spark in Oakdale as the long-running soap sheds light on Barbara's (Colleen Zenk Pinter) scheme, the adoption of Gwen and Will, and a relationship going awry.

After Alison told Barbara about her suspicion that Gwen and Will could be adopting Cole and Sofie's baby, Barbara lied to Alison and then alerted Iris that they have a problem.  Barbara eventually revealed to Gwen and Will that the birth mother is ready to sign the adoption papers.

In the coming days, Barbara's deception gets exposed.  Following Barbara's attempt to stop Will from calling Alison about the baby, Alison announces to Gwen and Will that there's something they need to know about the adoption.  This prompts Gwen to confront Barbara and Iris (Terri Garber).

As Barbara pays for the consequences for her actions, Rosanna (Cady McClain) continues with her scheming ways.  Desperate to keep her secret, Rosanna succumbs to blackmail demands.

Meanwhile, Lily is worried that her relationship with Dusty is going nowhere and urges Dusty to forget about his feelings for Emily (Kelley Menighan Hensley).  On the other hand, Dusty is having difficulty forgetting Emily.

Other spoilers for this week's As the World Turns revolves around Katie, who becomes enraged when Carly (Maura West) tries to interfere with her plans yet again, Cole, who ducks out of Oakdale, Vienna (Ewa Da Cruz), who surprises Henry (Trent Dawson), and Craig (Scott Bryce), who has a moment with Meg (Marie Wilson) in an elevator.
