You can't have a comic-book TV show without bringing a whole bunch of good guys and bad guys, can you? Arrow obviously wants lots of heroes and villains -- several actors are now confirmed to guest-star in season 1 of the show.
Some of the upcoming characters will be familiar to fans of the Green Arrow
comics. One such character is The Huntress. This female vigilante has appeared in the comic books for decades and will be played in Arrow
by Jessica De Gouw, EW.com
In the TV version, The Huntress is the alias of Helena Bertinelli, the daughter of a mafia bigwig. Her quest for revenge began with the murder of her family -- but that's not her only purpose. The character's description reads, "Helena is a potential love interest for Oliver Queen; a fellow vigilante, set on destroying her father's organized crime empire."

Of course, you can't have a vigilante love interest if the lady is lacking in a nemesis. That's why Frank Bertinelli, the father of Helena and the head of a crime syndicate, is set to appear in episode 7 of Arrow

There is no word yet as to when Tom Salvati would first appear on Arrow
.What Else Can We Expect?
There aren't many more details about the first season of Arrow
, but we do have a couple of interesting tidbits gathered from an interview published by TV Fanatic
- The first four episodes will mainly work to establish the Oliver Queen character. Then episodes 5 and 6 (around the time The Huntress shows up) will change things around.
- According to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, the character of Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) will soon show a few new aspects of her character than are shown in the pilot -- there might even be some hints of the Black Canary.
