Canadian-American actor Will Arnett was born on May 5, 1970 in Toronto, Canada. He studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and went on to act in both movies and television. Will Arnett appeared in the shows Sex and the City, Third Watch, Boston Public, The Sopranos, Will and Grace, and 30 Rock. He also worked on the films Ice Age, Blades of Glory, Grindhouse, and Ratatouille. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his role as G.O.B. in the comedy series Arrested Development.
George Oscar “G.O.B.” Bluth II is portrayed by Will Arnett in the dysfunctional family comedy Arrested Development. The firstborn Bluth son, he is a failed professional magician and former male stripper, constantly irresponsible and causing trouble. His father George Sr. often manipulates G.O.B. into make things difficult for his brother Michael in running the family company. A self-assured and self-centered womanizer, he has a habit of speaking in melodramatic and ominous tones nearly all the time, and often blurts out important secrets. He’s also known for his ‘chicken dance,’ for founding (and later being shunned by) a “Magicians’ Alliance,” for using ridiculous theatrics in his magic shows such as dance routines and pyrotechnics, and for his Segway with his initials on it.
