Tony Hale is an American actor born on September 30, 1970. As he grew up in Florida, he participated in a number of theatrical productions and musicals, and graduated from School of Communication & The Arts in Virginia’s Regent University. Tony Hale also founded The Haven, a Christian ministry for artistic members of the faith. He worked on a number of television series such as
The Sopranos ,
Dawson’s Creek ,
Sex and the City , and
Arrested Development . He also appeared in the movies Unaccompanied Minors, Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector and Stranger Than Fiction. Hale is married to Martel Thompson, an Emmy Award-winning makeup artist.
Byron “Buster” Bluth is played by Tony Hale in the Fox comedy show Arrested Development. Despite being a professional graduate student and enlisting in the United States Army, he is socially stunted and very immature. A complete mama’s boy with an unhealthy closeness to Lucille, she encourages this dependence and makes him guilty for thinking of anyone else other than her. Buster has agoraphobia and claustrophobia, suffers frequent panic attacks, and is also scared of various animals. He also has an odd habit of greeting people with back rubs, an unusually-shaped penis, and a tendency to become hyperactive after eating even the tiniest amount of sugar.
