Sterling K. Brown has appeared in numerous television shows including E.R., NYPD Blue, JAG, Boston Legal, Alias, Without A Trace, Supernatural and Shark. He was a regular in the comedy Starved and has also been in movies like Stay with Ewan McGregor, Brown Sugar with Taye Diggs and Trust the Man with David Duchovny and Julianne Moore.

Roland Burton, played by Sterling K. Brown on Army Wives, is a brilliant and fast-rising psychiatrist who gave up his lucrative private practice to become a military husband to Lieutenant Colonel Joan Burton. Although he has become highly-respected at Fort Marshall’s Mercer Army Medical Center, the constant relocating has started to take a toll on Roland’s career and marriage. When his wife returns home from her latest assignment, with a bout of post-traumatic stress syndrome, Roland is faced with saving her from a breakdown while keeping his own marriage and practice afloat.
