Lifetime to Hold 'Army Wives' Cast Party to Celebrate Season Finale
Lifetime is hosting a gala cast party in Los Angeles in order to celebrate the first season finale of Army Wives, the network's most successful series to date.  The star-studded event will be held on Saturday, August 25, and will be attended by five real-life military spouses, all of whom participated in the show's affiliate promotion, “Lifetime's Five Star Army Wives Experience.”

The promotion, which ran in over 50 markets nationwide, has awarded the five army wives with an all-expense paid, VIP trip for two to Los Angeles, where they will get to mingle with the show's cast and crew.

One of the winners of the promotion is Stacey Catalina-Hardy, a resident of Fort Eustis in Virginia and a mother of three, whose husband recently returned home from Iraq.

"All of us at Lifetime could not be happier about the amazing success of Army Wives and it's a pleasure to be able to invite some of the series' biggest fans to Los Angeles to celebrate the smash hit with the cast and crew," Lifetime Networks' president of entertainment Susanne Daniels said.  "It's truly wonderful that several 'real' army wives won the contest and can join us in celebrating the season finale!"

Also expected at the gala are representatives from Lifetime's major affiliates, including Brighthouse, Cablevision, Charter, Comcast, Cox, Insight, OnMedia, Time Warner and Viamedia.  Tanya Biank, author of Under the Sabers: The Unwritten Code of the Army Wives, the book on which the series is based, will also be present at the event.

Created and co-executive-produced by Katherine Fugate, Army Wives boasts of a stellar cast that includes Emmy Award winner Kim Delaney (NYPD Blue), Wendy Davis (Commander in Chief), Catherine Bell (JAG), Sally Pressman (Shark), Brigid Brannagh (Over There), Brian McNamara (The OC), Drew Fuller (Charmed) and Sterling K. Brown (Starved).  ABC Studios heads the production of the show.

The first season finale of Army Wives will air this Sunday, August 26 at 10pm ET/PT.
