Good news for Aqua Teen fans! The much-awaited Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters is now showing in theaters. Launched today, April 13, the film attempts to bring light to the origins of the Aqua Teen Hunger Force characters based on the television series on the Adult Swim.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force, an animated television series broadcast on the Cartoon Network as part of its Adult Swim programming niche, features three fast food items and their experiences in New Jersey. Their main characters include Master Shake, a sadistic and self-centered milkshake, Frylock, a scientifically minded floating red box of French fries with a goatee and dental braces, Meatwad, a playful mass of compressed meat, and their neighbor Carl Brutananadilewski.

Last March 30, Adult Swim announced publicly on their website a teaser about the film. “The movie Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters is an action-adventure epic that reveals the mysterious origins of Meatwad, Frylock and Master Shake. When an immortal piece of exercise equipment threatens the balance of galactic peace, it is up to the Aqua Teen Hunger Force to run away from it. Peril escalates when Plutonians team up with the Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past to strive for ultimate control of the sinister, deadly device,” according to the website.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters is written and directed by Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis, released though First Look Pictures. Ranked R by the Motion Picture Association of America, the movie, just like the television show, contains sexual humor, violent scenes and vulgar languages.

Aside from the movie, you can catch the wacky gang every Sundays at 10:30 PM, and Tuesdays thru Fridays at 12:00 AM on Cartoon Network.
