Glenn Quinn was born Glenn Martin Christopher Francis Quinn on May 28, 1970 and grew up in Cabinteely, Co Dublin. He immigrated to the United States in 1988 together with his mother and two sisters. Soon after his arrival in the U.S., casting director Johanna Ray spotted him and he landed a part in Richard Marx's music video, “Satisfied”. He also earned a major role in the 1991 film, Shout, starring John Travolta and Gwyneth Paltrow. On television, Quinn first came to prominence as Becky's dumb but loving husband, Mark Healy, on the sitcom, Roseanne. His most recognizable role to date is as the half-human/half demon Doyle on the vampire show, Angel. While his character only appeared in half of Angel's first season, Doyle developed a loyal following among the show's audience. Sadly, Glenn Quinn died unexpectedly on December 3, 2002 due to a drug overdose.

Allen Francis Doyle, played by Glenn Quinn on Angel, was half human and half Bracken demon. He had the unique power of seeing visions of future victims – a gift bestowed on him by the Powers That Be. Unable to escape the mind-splitting prophesies, Doyle became an integral part of Angel Investigations until he selflessly sacrificed his own life to save his comrades in battle.
