Andy Richter Biography:

Born on October 28, 1966 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, comedian and actor Andy Richter first caught the attention of the viewing public when he appeared on television as Conan O’ Brien’s right hand man on Late Night With Conan O’ Brien. He developed his talent for comedy when he was a student at Columbia College Chicago. He performed with various Chicago improvisational groups and worked at the Annoyance Theatre. In 2000, he left his stint at Late Night and went to star in his own show called Andy Richter Controls the Universe. The show, although praised by critics, did not gain a large following and was consequently cancelled after only seasons. His second show, Quintuplets, only ran for one season, and this time, both the critics and the audience gave it the thumbs down. Nevertheless, Richter has remained in the spotlight, and has gone on to guest-star in television shows like Arrested Development and Malcolm in the Middle. His film credits include Big Trouble, Elf, Seeing Other People, New York Minute, Scary Movie 2, Pootie Tang, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and My Boss’s Daughter. Richter is currently busy starring in the NBC comedy Andy Barker P.I.

Andy Barker is played by Andy Richter on the series Andy Barker, P.I. Andy is an honest man who has worked hard to build his career as a CPA. He ventures into his own accounting business, but quickly realizes that he cannot keep the business afloat. By sheer stroke of luck, Andy finds himself becoming a sought-after private investigator by assuming the identity of retired P.I. Lee Staziak.
