Cassandra Whitehead Biography:

Born on October 5, 1985 in Houston, Texas, Cassandra Whitehead is a graduate of Cypress Creek High School and Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where she was a Marketing and Public Relations major and a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Before she joined America's Next Top Model, Cycle 5, she spent four years, from 2002-2005, competing as a semifinalist in The Miss Texas Teen beauty pageant. She also modeled on a part-time basis for several print ads in Houston. Cassandra enjoys watching medical dramas like Nip/Tuck and Grey's Anatomy.

As a Finalist on America's Next Top Model, Cycle 5, Cassandra didn't get along with some of the girls in the competition, as the other girls felt that she exhibited traits of a certified psychopath. Her "beauty queen" image didn't help ease the tension between Cassandra and the girls, but her talent in modeling and her unique beauty helped her to stay within the competition for three weeks, and she had a good fighting chance to survive more eliminations if she had not refused to have her hair cut the second time around. The first time the Top Model stylists cut Cassandra's hair, supermodel Tyra Banks felt it did not capture the style she (Tyra) asked for, which was Mia Farrow's haircut in the horror flick, Rosemary's Baby. Cassandra was the first contestant in the history of the show to have cut herself out from the competition.

Immediately after she left the show, Cassandra went to a hair salon and got herself some hair extensions. She claims that getting her long dark hair, which she absolutely loves, cut was equivalent to changing who she is. She is currently interning for an affiliate of the UPN Network. She has also maintained a friendship with Kyle Kavanagh, one of the other finalists in the show.
