The models throw Laura a birthday celebration, but most of the emphasis goes to Erin, who spends a lot of the time screaming about creaming her cupcakes (haha, eww), and demanding recognition for it.
This is a hell of an edit they're giving so-called "golden child" Erin. She's either headed for one of the most sought-after eliminations or jaw-dropping redemptions in
history. There's got to be
reason they're keeping her around.
The models meet Jay at a dock, where they learn this photo shoot will take them fully underwater. So Laura, Sundai, Nicole, Jennifer and Erin board the boat and set sail...
(SPOILER ALERT!) They DO know that movie ended with the boat sinking... right? And one of them dying... right? Just checking.
During the photo shoot...
Laura is not a good swimmer and has a fear of suffocating, and at first she starts hyperventilating. But she doesn't give up, and gets some great shots in both rounds of photos.
Nicole has good shots in her first round, and Jay tells her to have more fun and play around in Round 2, which she does.
Jennifer stays too close to the surface in Round 1, but Round 2 is better and she starts flowing like a mermaid ballerina.
Sundai asks to stay close to the surface because of her asthma, and generally gives lots of excuses for sucking. In the end, she only really succeeds in psyching herself out.
Erin doesn't want to let panel down, but disappoints the photographer because she won't go deep under the water, and she doesn't have the benefit of open air feedback to set it straight.

Is anyone else concerned that, as his sleeves engorge themselves toward critical mass, Miss J. Alexander loses whatever shred of credibility that he once had in criticizing the appearances of others?
He looks like a goth 80's lunch lady at Prom. I mean,
seriously now.
Anyway, the good thing about Panel is that we get close-ups of the final shots, and some of them are even messier than I initially thought!
Sundai:
Pros: Loooong legs and good body language.
Cons: Lost the face.
Laura:
Pros: Good body language
Cons: Should have found the light with her face
Extra-terrible bonus con: Laura's heavenly grandma sent her a special jacket for her birthday, and evil queen Tyra takes it away because she hates it, and she's a terrible anti-joy monster.
Jennifer:
Pros: She looks stunning, like a mixture of dream, modeling, and fantasy
Cons: Her body might be too straight, needs to relax and be softer in the legs
Extra-suggestive bonus con: "It's a little too erect for me." -Marisa Miller
Nicole:
Pros: Has great energy and light in the face, looks like she's dancing in the water
Cons: Non-pointed toes
Erin:
Pros: ...
Cons: Looks like a test shot, can't tell it's her, and she needs to "do less"
Extra-nail in the coffin bonus con: Erin can't handle critique very well
Elimination:
After the judges deliberate, the first call-out goes to... Jennifer.
Then Nicole and Laura, leaving Erin and Sundai in the final two. Who's it going to be, Tyra asks, the girl (Sundai) who had twice the amount of photos, and ten times the amount of excuses during the photo shoot, or the girl (Erin) who was at the top of the pack at the beginning of the season, and week to week gets weaker and weaker?
Even though it's Erin's THIRD TIME in the bottom two, Tyra eliminates...
Sundai.
Next week: The final 4 on America's Next Top Model learn to hula in Hawaii, and after a sexy evening gown photo shoot, learn that TWO girls will be eliminated this week.
