And now for the second hour of the premiere...

The final 13 will move from Las Vegas to New York City. The first person they talk to in depth is Isabella, which means unless they've drastically changed the Top Model editing formula, she is definitely going home. On the first day in New York, the girls are taken to the Empire State Building. Of course, this isn't a sight seeing excursion, ANTM judges Nigel and Paulina are waiting at the top for the finalists. Somehow, they manage to make an ANTM metaphor out of the Empire State Building.

Paulina grants Celia the keys to their new house and tells her that she is allowed to have first choice for the beds. This could be a source of massive drama, just a guess. The girls walk into the Top Model house, which is filled only with photos of Tyra or photos Tyra has taken in past ANTM cycles. Goddess of Fierce? More like Goddess of Narcissism. Then they focus some more on Isabella, who says those fatal few words "I live here now," which is definitely another sign she is going home.

After everyone settles in, Celia and Sandra realize they have both laid claim to the same bed. While Celia was given the choice of any bed, Sandra is furious and she starts another fight. Celia is having none of it, which makes us love her even more. It's the first day and Sandra is making no friends. Aminat says she is getting turned off by Sandra's attitude and I am too. They are talking more to Isabella about her epilepsy, more proof she's going home. No one has ever said the ANTM editors were subtle and they are hitting us over the head with this one.

Now it's time for the first challenge, which if the other 11 cycles are any indication, will be a runway challenge. And we are right. The girls are led to a boutique in New York and told they will be walking in a show tonight for the boutiques featured designer. The runway show is supposed to be all about "good vs. bad girls." Allison, for obvious reasons (see: worst-walk-ever) is very nervous about this challenge. The girls are hustled back stage, to get their hair, make-up and wardrobe done. Tahlia is upset that while everyone else is in mini-skirts and asymmetrical shoulder-baring dresses, that she's been put in a full-on suit, that covers her from shoulder to ankle.

Miss J opens the show, with his ridiculous bad girl walk. Aminat is the first contender to walk and she has a great walk, one of the best I've seen without coaching. London swings her arms too much, but does well portraying the good girl. Teyona meanwhile, just looks mad. Oh no! There are strobe lights on the runway and this worries Isabella, since strobe lights can trigger seizures in epileptics. Of course after this dramatic statement they cut to commercial. And we're back. Isabella makes it down the runway without a seizure and a decent walk. Allison's runway walk isn't as bad as I feared, while it is very awkward, it was also very fashionable. Sandra only walks a third of the way down the runway, poses awkwardly, and exits. Ooh a chink in the armor. Celia has a stellar walk and really shows off the garment--we love her even more. After the runway show Miss J tells the girl to prepare for judgement.
