It's time for the initial judging panel and Sandra is first. She walks in wearing overall denim diapers--and the judges go crazy for her. (This makes me worry: I do not 'get' fashion.) Sandra tells the judges that she loves that she is really dark and Tyra tells Sandra that's why she picked her. "I picked you because you are dark chocolate," this makes Sandra cry--but her tears don't fool us. Up next is hipster street preacher London, we've seen this before and it is way more annoying on the third time around. London is saving no souls, and we are doubting she'll be impressing the ANTM judges either. Next up is Jessica, she comes in all sassy and Miss J knocks her down a peg. We loves Miss J. Next up is Tahlia and she looks like she is walking to her execution. Tahlia tells the judges that she's here to tell her story, the story of a burn survivor. When Tahlia was a baby she pulled a full pot of coffee on top of her and was severely burned. Tahlia says she can't remember the accident, but she still has nightmares.

Up next is one of the token quirky girls, the girls who make the final 34 to make the panels more interesting. Monique is a conspiracy theorist, she spends her time in front of the judges telling them how FDR planned Pearl Harbor. Oh no, someone is already crying. Katherine says she has extremely bad anxiety--so obviously reality TV and ANTM is the place for you. It is Day One and she is already having panic attacks, so there is no way she is going to make it. Anxious girl, Katherine, comes to the initial judging with her cherished pen collection. When Tyra asks Miss Panic Attack to name as many working models as the pen's she brought, Katherine blows it. Tyra lectures Katherine about knowing fashion and asks if there's any internet in Indiana or just people who collect pens. Ouch.

Isabella is the next memorable girl to talk to the judges. Turns out Isabella has a sad story too, she's an epileptic. As we know, Tyra loves a cause or challenge and Isabella has an amazing body, so she is in the final 13 for sure. Next up is Nijah, who I said looked more like a prom queen than model--and I was right! The first thing Tyra asks Nijah about is being prom queen. Turns out Tyra lost the title of her high school prom queen to another girl. Hilarious. Nijah also tap dances for the juges, she's cute, but still not a high fashion model. Fo walks in and calls herself a "Blaxican." We love her and her freckles, and luckily so do the judges.

Celia walks in and swirls and twirls in a way that would make the Swirl-A-Wirl twins very proud. Kortnie comes in with her "your body is a temple and my temple wants cheesecake." That line never gets old. Tyra asks Kortnie about her famous ex-boyfriend, it turns out she dated Dale Earnhardt Jr. and she'd like to be famous for something else. Unfortunately for Kortnie, Tyra Banks will remind her of her famous ex-boyfriend at every chance she has. Teyona says she's the bomb, but also a country girl and a tomboy. She is strangely adorable and alien, and as expected Miss J loves her. Now the girls are talking about Allison's eyes and how ginormous they are. Someone says "your eyes are so pretty they scare me." When Allison jokes back that she's stealing their souls with her huge eyes, the girls laugh nervously. We don't really blame them.

We've come to the first elimination, only the lucky 21 are left. The girls bum rush the J's and the screaming starts, from those girls that made it to the next round. The crying starts to for the girls who didn't make this cut. Conspiracy Theory Girl does not make the cut and we're sure that's a conspiracy in its own right.

The first challenge for the remaining 21 girls is a photoshoot with Mr. J. The girls are each assigned a goddess to pose as. It is a surprisingly good first challenge for ANTM. While things are going well in front of the camera, no terrible shots yet. Things are going so well backstage, where Sandra is getting in a huge fight with one of the girls who we know will not make the final 13. It's a fight Sandra wins, because the girl's photoshoot does not go well at all. Sandra has successfully knocked out one of her competitors and we foresee her sabotaging many more.

The judges love Jessica, which I don't get. Miss Jay says she's the most beautiful girl in the bunch. Mr. Jay thinks that Kortnie's boobs are too big. Miss J, as we knew he would be, is in love with alien beauty Teyona. Tyra is jealous Teyona will never have to get a face lift. All the judges can say about Isabella is that she is "cute," which sadly does not bode well for her. Tyra loves Tahlia's strength, but Mr. J isn't sure about her body type.

At the first Tyra-led panel the final 13 are called. Aminat, our tall goddess is called first, then Natalie--maybe they're going for all the really tall girls since next Cycle will be all shorties? Nope, next up is Fo, who probably is just about 5'7'', then our girl with the gorgeous eyes, Allison. Followed by Tahlia. Katherine, Miss Panic Attack, looks like her head might explode. Next up is Celia, followed by the prom queen (Nijah), Lodnon is called and thanks Jesus multiple times. Kortnie is called and does a crazy cute little dance, next up is Isabella, followed by the Puerto Rican, Jessica. They are obviously keeping Sandra last for the drama between her and the girl she pseudo-fought, and that''s lame, because Sandra is obviously going to make it. Going a little Bachelor on us ANTM? I don't like it. Sandra shoves the girl that fought with when taking her spot in the final 13 and the girl looks like her soul was sucked out of her. After being rejected, Katherine (panic-attack-girl) cries and swears she would have made the competition more intense, which we think is probably true, but not in a good way.
