Gabrielle and Naduah First Eliminated on 'America's Next Top Model' Cycle 14
The new crop of America's Next Top Model contestants barely escaped elimination last week, but Tyra decided a a surprise double cut tonight would make up for that. Gabrielle,a student from St. Louis, MO, and Naduah, a full-time mother from San Diego, were the first sent packing from America's Next Top Model Cycle 14.

This week on America's Next Top Model, the girls had to perform in two photo shoots and a runway challenge, with nudity, dangerous pendulums, and purple goo standing in their way throughout. Gabrielle was eliminated after the first photo shoot, and later on, Naduah followed.

18-year-old Gabrielle Kniery brought an in-your-face attitude and unique look to the competition, but unfortunately, she couldn't translate that to her first photo, and she never got a second chance. In her best shot, the beautiful, biracial Gabrielle stared off to one side looking frightened and awkward, and the judges thought she failed to evoke emotion.

Jay Manuel thought she had no clue how to model "from head to toe," and looked lost both on set and on film.  Though her hair, her best asset, took center stage, it ate up her neck.  Bottom line, the judges weren't impressed with Gabrielle's awkward performance, and she was sent home.

Viewers did not really get to know Gabrielle, but during her brief stint on the show we learned that she was quite emotional. Given the chance, she could have become one of this season's biggest criers. Upon meeting Tyra and recounting her childhood, she started tearing up and couldn't go on.

Gabrielle stood out in casting because she knew her modeling history. In the ANTM premiere, Miss J asked the girls to emulate a supermodel and while the other models chose famous names, Gabrille selected Freja Beha Erichsen.

Naduah Rugley will likely be best remembered as "the one raised in a cult." But we can also peg her for having a unique accent, and presenting Tyra with a realistic illustration of Ms. Banks when they first met.  Of course, the host thinking it was a painting is another matter entirely.

Here we have the best shot from Naduah's first photo shoot, which the judges deemed "artificial." She escaped elimination for this shot, but found trouble in the next photo shoot.

For her second photo shoot, the judges thought she "lacked magic" in her exaggerated movements, and that she looked like a cliche.

How could having no eyebrows and a shaved head could ever be a modeling cliche? It's best to defer to America's Next Top Model judges Tyra and Talley on that one. They claimed her look wasn't the problem; it's how she showed it off on photos. Naduah's performance on the runway wasn't appealing either, because the sour look on her face was distracting.

Upon being eliminated, the girls revealed just what they plan on doing after America's Next Top Model.  Gabrielle wanted to go into fashion merchandising while Naduah, well, she might seek revenge.

The Cancun native expressed how angry she was after Tyra said goodbye, claiming some of her competitors weren't as passionate and experienced as she was. Too bad, since they're the lucky ones still in the running.
