America's Next Top Model: More from Sarah Hartshorne
Sarah Hartshorne was a sentimental favorite for many America's Next Top Model viewers. All of the girls on the show are beautiful, but they can't all take a great photograph. Sarah, though, nearly always seemed to blossom in front of the camera, and it made her an exciting model to watch. She also seemed to be a good-natured and intelligent girl, and so many were sorry to see her go.

Her elimination, though, seemed inevitable to some. While Tyra does give larger-sized models a chance on America's Next Top Model, they haven't yet made it to the top spots in the competition. Sarah was especially challenged because she wasn't truly plus-sized either.

Since her elimination and previous interview with BuddyTV, she's also shared more details about how she feels about her place in the modeling world.

Sarah says she feels, “There shouldn't be such a divide between plus-size and normal-size…anyone who has a well-proportioned and beautiful body and face who can make clothes look fashionable and interesting to other people should be able to model…I use this example all the time: When Twiggy became a model, it was revolutionary that she was so thin.”

She continues, “Toccara [from Cycle 3] is one of the most beautiful women in the world. She is just stunning. She shouldn't have to be so strictly categorized as different from me, and I shouldn't be so strictly categorized as different from someone like, say, Jenah, who is very thin and so gorgeous. There should be a place for all of us.”

She also notes that she was not as uncomfortable as some of her edited comments might have sounded in her final America's Next Top Model episode when she was dressed in the fishnet outfit.

She says, “Taken out of context, I think my comments made me seem a lot more uncomfortable than I was. I did feel hot! And I did feel comfortable. It took some getting used to, but I think it did for all of us. I wasn't as uncomfortable as it maybe came across. And I want to make it clear that it is OK for someone my size to be dressed like that! I don't want girls to see that and say, 'Oh, gee, she's uncomfortable, so I should be uncomfortable,' too. I felt gorgeous! It was really fun and kind of a great role to get into, this dominatrix vampire.”
