America's Next Top Model

On the last episode of America's Next Top Model, the girls all packed their bags and went to China.  It was a stressful time for them as they settled into their new digs and had their Cover Girl photo shoot and commercial.  All the girls continued to ostracize Heather, and Bianca could not overcome her fear of heights, but in the end, it was Lisa who was shown the door.

Who will go home tonight?

Cue Asian music.  Because we're in China, you see.  Heather rehashes her horrible commercial shoot and reminds us that she has Asperger's syndrome.  Jenah is pissed off that the competition has been more about personality instead of modeling ability.

There's Asian-themed Tyra mail.  The girls actually decipher the cryptic message, and they know that they'll be going on go-sees.

The next day, they meet Susan Yang of PT Modeling and one of her models, who is a spindly giantess.  Susan stresses that personality is very important in this challenge.  They have to come back no later than 6pm.

The translators tell the cabs to take the girls to their destinations, but once the girls get out of the cab, they still have to navigate themselves to the right studios.

It's pouring as Saleisha hops out of the cab and into the first designer's studio.  She doesn't impress him; he thinks she dull.

Heather is lost.  Chantal gets scolded by one of the designers for not wearing nude underwear, and her walk doesn't impress designer Flora Zeta.  What an awesome name.

By the time all the other girls have completed two or three go-sees, Heather still hasn't done her first one because she can't find it.  She is worried about the wrath of Tyra, as well she should be.  Heather finally finds her first go-see, it's with Flora Zeta who says that making eye contact is really important to her.

Flora Zeta doesn't like Jenah's walk, which she says is too much like a model.  Saleisha has to wait for Bianca to finish to do her go-see.  Bianca asks her where designer Helen Lee is, but Saleisha pretends not to know.  When Bianca finds out that it's right up the stairs, she gets really mad.  Chantal criticizes Saleisha for kissing ass, but she does the same thing.

Heather has only completed one go-see and gets lost on the way to second.  She decides to go back to the agency so she doesn't get disqualified, but she lost her cabbie.  Traffic is terrible.  Jenah's cab drives by Heather, and Jenah just taunts her instead of offering her a ride back.  When she gets back to the agency, she tells everyone all about it.  Only Saleisha and Bianca have made it back in time.  Chantal arrives 20 minutes late.  Susan Yang disqualifies all the girls except for Saleisha and Bianca.

After their go-sees, the girls go out to a big fancy restaurant.  They enjoy the scenery when Susan Yang comes to tell them who the winner of the challenge is.  The winner will appear in the Beijing Olympics ad campaign.  They all stand up and see a lit-up billboard in the middle of the water with Bianca's face on it.  She's the winner of the challenge.

Ugh, Jaslene's My Life as a Cover Girl.  Ugh.

There's another Tyra Mail.  Something about lions.  The next morning, they go out to a garden.  Jenah freaks out about the bugs, and I really don't blame her.  Nigel Barker is the photographer for this shoot.  The girls will be posing with people in fantastic Chinese lion and dragon costumes, so they have to be really super fierce in order to stand out.  Nigel tries to coach Jenah, but she gives him lip and he doesn't appreciate her sarcasm.  I really like the way Jenah's look, but as soon as she opens her mouth, she irks me.

During her shoot, Nigel tells Jenah to play with her angles.  Mr. Jay is disappointed in her too, but Jenah just complains that she wasn't getting good critiques.  Saleisha is next.  Mr. Jay is impressed with her confidence.  Bianca has one scary smile while she does her photo shoot.  Nigel tells Chantal that she looks like Diana Ross.  Heather decides not to over-think her shoot.  Jenah is kind of a bitch during Heather's shoot and laughs with the other girls about Heather.  Nigel tells them to shut their traps.

Panel begins with an Asian-themed shot of Tyra.  My first impression is that her eyes are dead.  Tyra gives her spiel about the prizes and introduces the judges.  Ms. J's afro is huge!  Susan Yang is this week's guest judge.

Chantal goes first.  She got disqualified, but she gets feedback anyway.  Chantal's photo is pretty good, but the Nigel tells her not to break her pose when she's getting positive feedback.  Bianca goes up next.  Tyra and Twiggy think that her body position is amazing, but all I can say is "Really?"  She looks all floppy and spaghetti-like.  Jenah's photo is good, but Nigel scolds her for her arrogant sarcasm.  He is not pleased.  Saleisha was Nigel's favorite person to shoot.  Her photo is pretty awesome, actually.  Heather is last.  Ms. J tells Heather that she needs a Top Model ass-whipping.  Twiggy loves Heather's photo.

Heather is the Cover Girl of the week.

The judges have finally made their decisions.  Five stand before Tyra, but she only has four photos in her hands.  Saleisha is called first.  Next is Bianca, then Chantal.  Jenah and Heather are in the bottom two.  The name that she doesn't call must return to the hotel and pack their bags and leave.  Is it just me or is it weird when she says that every week--it's the girl who must leave, not the name.  During her critiques, there is this weird moment when Tyra's voice is overdubbed.  Tyra calls Jenah's name.  Nooooo!  It's the end of Heather's America's Next Top Model journey.
