This week the results of the photo shoot on America's Next Top Model made it difficult to pick a Best and Worst photo of the week.  The two top photos were nearly equally good and the two worst photos were nearly equally awful.

So for the best?

SHE BROUGHT IT!

Jaslene.

While I agree with the judges that Jaslene's best look is pretty static from shot to shot, I happen to like that look, for one, and for another, I'm trying to look at the photos out of context week to week just on the merit of that week's shoot.

Jaslene edged out nearly equal competitor Renee (below) by a hair.  Or, more accurately, a leg.  Everything above the waist on both shots is excellent, and I was about to give Renee the top spot because of her arm placement in the shot really mirrors the "butterfly" theme of her assignment.  But then I looked down.  That leg placement is just awkward and not fashion-awkward.  Still a good job, though.  Scroll past the photo for picks for the worst.

OH NO SHE DIDN'T

Natasha.  As Tyra put it, this shoot is a "disaster."  Natasha is beautiful, without question, but that photo is like forty-five different kinds of wrong and I just don't have time to outline all of them.  Besides, if you are reading this, you can see for yourself.  Catastrophe.  One hopes she manages to pull it together for next week.

But Dionne, whom I think was rightfully eliminated for her overall lackluster body of work, was also nipping at Natasha's heels for the worst spot tonight.  It's amazing that such a lovely girl can take such a ho-hum picture, but every week she managed to.  Her face is doing very little for her in the photo, but like Jaslene, a slightly-better body placement kept her from the bottom spot on this list.
