Adam Mutterperl appears as one of the contestants on the TV Guide network’s new reality television show, America’s Next Producer. Born on December 10, 1974, this native of Rhode Island presently resides in New York City, and he also attended Boston University. Adam says that what he loves most about being a producer is seeing his ideas realized, and that his favorite genre to work with is comedy. However, he also bemoans how incredibly difficult it is to sell a TV show. His must-have production tools are Final Cut Pro and Final Draft, and he is proud of his own project The Finkel Files, which aired on Cartoon Network during 2002-2003.
Adam’s favorite television series are Comedy Central’s
South Park and The Colbert Report, and he also enjoyed the films Borat and Little Miss Sunshine. His favorite directors are John Cassavetes, Woody Allen, and Federico Fellini. Adam admires South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone for their comedy talents and irreverent take on things, as well as Ben Karlin, who was an executive producer for both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report at the same time. He also claims that if he could pick just one person to work with, it would be God.
