The race for the presidency is on, and celebrities have been weighing in left and right on who they believe should be the next leader of the country. While most have been discussing the reasons as to why they are supporting a particular candidate, one industry personality has been quick to comment on one presidential hopeful's style on the campaign trail.
"We gotta do something with John McCain,” fashion expert and host of
America's Most Smartest Model Mary Alice Stephenson told the
New York Daily News. “We gotta spiff John McCain up a little bit. I think he could pull off a little Valentino.”
It wouldn't be too bad for McCain to consider Stephenson's fashion idea, as the
America's Most Smartest Model host is viewed as one of the world's most sought after fashion and style experts. Numerous A-list celebrities have consulted with her about their own wardrobe dilemmas, as she has a keen ability to analyze trends and put style in its proper context.
Her expertise is what landed her the hosting job for
America's Most Smartest Models, which subjects aspiring models to a series of challenges meant to test not only their modeling skills but also their intelligence. Although Mary Alice Stephenson signed on to do a second season of the show, fans will have to wait for an indefinite period of time to see her onscreen again, as the show's website claims the next installment “will not be hitting the runway anytime soon.”
Viewers, however, can catch Mary Alice Stephenson's co-host Ben Stein on upcoming documentary,
Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, which promotes intelligent design, an idea that a supernatural intelligence is behind biological processes.
“Intelligent design is a question that I'm very excited about and very interested in,” Stein told the Stanford Review. “We've never seen a species evolve; we have no idea how life started; we have no idea where the laws that govern the universe came from; Darwin doesn't explain any of these. All these gigantically big issues still can only really be answered by saying, “well, some intelligent guy or gal or being had just done this; some being that always was and always will be… God's not on trial, God isn't a defendant, God's the boss. It's not up to us to judge him. God's the boss!”
