Ben Stein and Mary Alice Stephenson will have to work through another bunch of hopefuls as Vh1 renews
America's Most Smartest Model for yet another season. The news dispels speculations that the competitive reality series might not be picked up for a second run given that Michael Hirschorn, head of development at Vh1, made a lackluster and uncertain reply when Stephenson made a hopeful plea to
Page Six for the show's second season.
Giving more confirmation to the upcoming season is the fact that the network is now casting for participants who would soon compete for the title of
America's Most Smartest Model.
So far, there isn't much news about what's in store for the new season, but Vh1 has already launched a casting site where fans can submit themselves for consideration as possible contenders for the model-themed series. Similar to reality series like MTV's
The Real World and Vh1's
I Love New York, the casting process of
America's Most Smartest Model also allows fans to snag a seat on the casting director's couch to judge who should make it on-air.
America's Most Smartest Model casting site welcomes men and women who can prove that they have the whole package: beauty and brains. At this point, many model wannabes have already uploaded their photos and videos on the show's casting site, hoping to capture fans' attention and their votes for a spot on the 14 models slated to compete for the second season.
Last season of
America's Most Smartest Model found 16 contestants consisting of eight men and eight women vying for $100,000, a feature in an upcoming V05 ad and the title of
America's Most Smartest Model. The series premiered on October 7, 2007 with satisfactory ratings and ended its pilot season on December 16, 2007 in which
VJ Logan was hailed the winner.
