America's Got Talent has found its Howard Stern replacement. Series creator, Simon Cowell will be joining America's Got Talent for Season 11 as the new judge on the panel. So after years of obvious Simon Cowell-esque "tough" judges, America's Got Talent finally has the genuine article. Simon Cowell will join current judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B.
For those who don't know, Cowell created the "Got Talent" format in his home country of Britain. Since that original incarnation of the televised talent show, shows with the "Got Talent" branding have spread across the globe. Simon Cowell created the original show in 2006 and it is now the most successful TV format of all time.

"I am really thrilled to be joining America's Got Talent next season," said Cowell. "What I love about this show is that it's open to absolutely anyone. America has some fantastic talent just waiting to be discovered, and I would like that talent to come to our show, including any dogs who can sing!"

Simon Cowell will still prove as executive producer of America's Got Talent while serving as a judge. "Simon knows this format better than anyone and he's been producing the show with us since the beginning, so we're thrilled to have him to step in front of the camera and take his rightful place at the head of the judges' panel," said Robert Greenblatt, the chairman of NBC Entertainment.

But what do you think? Is Simon a good addition to the judges panel? Would you rather Howard Stern have continued on the show? Or even someone (horrible) like Piers Morgan? Do you think Simon Cowell is one of the best reality show judges of all time? Or do you prefer another celebrity judge?

America's Got Talent season 11 will premiere next summer on NBC.
