In an attempt to have a good mix of viewing pleasure, NBC has decided to make a few changes to their calendar and return
The Biggest Loser and
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, while pushing back
America’s Got Talent.
Nearly three months after announcing that
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip will be on hiatus from February 19, NBC has decided to revive the “show-within-a-show,” which previously garnered poor ratings. The comedy series, which initially aired Mondays, will return on May 24 and will fill out the Thursday niche at 10/9c. Although
Studio 60 will be coming back with six new episodes, the network has not yet confirmed if a second season will take place.

America’s Got Talent, the reality competition show akin to the premise of
American Idol, has been pushed back the second time around. Originally set to launch its second season in January 2007, NBC has decided to set aside
America’s Got Talent, rescheduling its broadcast on May 29, to move the show out of the its indirect competition
American Idol. In its second budge, the scheduled May 29 broadcast has been moved to Tuesday, June 5 with a two-hour special at 9/8c, and will settle into its regular Tuesday schedule, 8/7c on June 12.
As for the
Biggest Loser, which is currently casting for its fourth season, the show is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, August 21 at 8/7c. In line with its upcoming season, the reality fitness-themed competition will take on a new host in the form of Alison Sweeney, actress known for her inclusion on the soap opera
Days of Our Lives, replacing Caroline Rhea, who has hosted the show for since its debut in October 2004.
Viewers also look forward to NBC's summer series
Last Comic Standing which premieres Wednesday June 13 at 9/8c, and the new
Age of Love premiering on Monday, June 18 at 10/9c.
