Season 3 of
America's Got Talent finally came to an end last week, and already the details about the show are starting to slip my mind. I still remember that Neal E. Boyd won the competition under questionable circumstances, and I remember thinking that more interesting talents like Eli Mattson and Nuttin But Stringz were robbed by the opera singer. Other than that, the entire season has become a blur of bizarre auditions and hyperbolic remarks from
David Hasselhoff. The problem with reality competition shows is that my interest in them completely disappears the instant a winner is crowned.
For those who aren't experiencing
America's Got Talent memory loss, you'll be happy to hear that the top five performers will be appearing at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Friday, October 17.
Not only will the
AGT top five perform in the Vegas show, but previous
America's Got Talent winner
Terry Fator will also trot out his ventriloquist act for the audience. The show will also feature some surprise special guests, which may include
AGT season 1 winner Bianca Ryan. The 14-year-old singer recently performed in Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Casino, but fans are hoping to see her go back to her
AGT roots. Tickets for the big extravaganza are currently on sale, ranging from $39.50 - $99.50. I think anyone who would pay a hundred bucks to see these performers is kind of insane, but I'm betting someone out there has cash to burn.
There are also rumors that an
America's Got Talent tour may be in the works.
Britain's Got Talent has already done such a thing, and there have also been tours for American shows like
So You Think You Can Dance,
American Idol and
America's Best Dance Crew. The
Britain's Got Talent tour featured the top 10 finalists, and if the American version followed the same path it would allow the audience to see the likes of The Wright Kids, Paul Salos and Joseph Hall. It also means four-year-old Jackson 5 fan Kaitlyn Maher would perform, which would finally allow BuddyTV reader
tomasjonaitis32 to see his favorite singer in person.
From what I understand, the chance to headline the October 17 show is half of Neil E. Boyd's grand prize, along with the one million dollars he was rewarded. There are no guarantees that he'll perform in Vegas again, so if you're a fan of the latest
AGT winner it's time to shell out some cash for those pricey tickets.
How much would you pay to see the AGT top 5 perform?
