After tonight's episode, it'll be a travesty if this season of America's Got Talent doesn't end in a Barbara Padilla - Kevin Skinner showdown. That much is clear, after both became the sole sure bets on their respective performance nights; Kevin, last week and Barbara tonight. I still don't understand this "connection" and "heart" some people speak of when they try to defend the hype surrounding Kevin (maybe because I don't own such brand of "heart"), so I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Barbara will defy the odds and make it two years in a row for the opera people.
Sure, Barbara owed it to herself that she wins this season, but for the most part, it also has a lot to do with the other America's Got Talent acts sucking big time.

The biggest surprise of the night (and not in a good way) was probably Mario and Jenny. I was intensely rooting for this tandem since way back, because their routines are inspired and they seem Vegas ready. But seriously, what is up with the pole dancing and the tap dancing and the drumming? Seriously. There have been slight modifications in people's acts on America's Got Talent
, but few are probably more bizarre (and ultimately costly) than what Mario and Jenny did.
Along the same route is probably FootworKINGz who everybody thought was the pretty much the best dance act this season. Even people who grew up watching Power Rangers (that would include me) think it was way too cheesy and painful to watch. "Career suicide," Piers Morgan said. I couldn't agree more.
So with Barbara Padilla surely in, who do you think will make it with her (albeit to little avail since she's going to win this whole thing)?
