Well, here we go -- another installment of our little series looking back at America's Got Talent
's finalists. The show is, of course, returning next week, which means we'll see more folks who are hoping to follow the footsteps of Michael Grimm, Jackie Evancho and Recycled Percussion. Speaking of those three, we'll be talking about them in the next few paragraphs!
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
Michael Grimm Is "Fallin'"... Kinda
Season 5 winner Michael Grimm just released his first album after winning AGT last year, simply named Michael Grimm. If you caught him on Ellen a few months back, and loved his take on Alicia Keys' "Fallin'", well, that track is on the album, alongside collaborations from Travis Tritt and Heart frontwoman Ann Wilson.
The CD's now out in stores, but while you grab your wallet here's the music video for "Fallin'". Loving that pained bluesy rendition:
Recycled Percussion Gets Busy in Las Vegas
Recycled Percussion may not have won AGT's fourth season, but they're still busy doing shows at the Tropicana in Las Vegas. Actually, they've been at it for six months -- as of last week, to be precise. And man, they still manage to blow minds with trash cans and floating cars. Here's a video from one of their shows last year:
Err, that didn't have the beats. How about this one?
Jackie Evancho Gets Dreaming
Finally, the girl who almost won AGT last year -- barely, since she ended up as the runner-up: Jackie Evancho returns with her first full-length album, Dream With Me, on June 14. Produced by Grammy winner David Foster and featuring collaborations with Barbra Streisand and Susan Boyle, it's pretty much what you'd expect from a Jackie Evancho album: that voice, still unreal coming from an 11-year-old!
Marking the occasion, she will appear on PBS' Great Performances next month. Yep, her own concert, recorded in Sarasota, FL and also featuring Foster on piano. I still find her voice unreal, judging from this sneak peek:
One more reminder: America's Got Talent returns May 31 on NBC.
