I had the pleasure to get on the phone with Jeff, a member from Team Millennia from the MTV show America's Best Dance Crew. Team Millennia was the third crew to get eliminated from the show. In this exclusive interview, Jeff talk about the highlights and low-lights of being on America's Best Dance Crew. I also had a chance to ask Jeff if he felt that Team Millennia was treated unfairly because how Lil Mama felt about the Ringmasters.

Hi, this is Daniel from BuddyTV and I’m here for Jeff, a member from Team Millennia from the hit show America’s Best Dance Crew. Hey Jeff, thanks for taking the time out to talk to us today. How are you doing?
I’m doing good thanks Daniel!
How did you feel after being eliminated yesterday?
After being eliminated last night we were pretty upset about it. We were trying to stay positive. We got to accomplish everything we wanted to do on the show. One of the things was making it passed the first episode because in season two we didn’t make it pass the live auctions. Secondly, we wanted to go out with a bang and made sure we felt confident about our performance and know that we gave our best.
How did you feel about your challenge and your performance this week with the hat and the cane?
Well, dancing with props is always going to be difficult. TM (Team Millennia) has always danced with props in our old sets but more so as atmospheric just to give the vibe of what are theme is. As far as dancing with the props like the cane and the hat it was fairly new to us. Andre, the choreographer from Brittney gave us some advise about using the props and don’t let it take control of us we control the props. When we came up with the whole cane part is was really hard because not all of us can twirl canes. It looked fine on TV and we felt really confident about it.
How did you feel after hearing Mario call Dynamic Editions name meaning that you guys were once again one of the bottom two crews?
Right when we heard that Dynamic Edition was saved, you can see on the TV that I was telling my crew that its ok we can do this we got this in the bag lets just performance our hearts out. We were just really confident we knew that we were going to put on a good show and things happen for a reason. We wanted to go out there and show everyone what we love to do.
Facing Ringmasters in the bottom two crews did you think that your team was treated unfairly just because Lil Mama’s relationship toward the Ringmasters about how they are out of her hometown Brooklyn?
They are really talented guys. They are really cool and they were actually our neighbors from the hotel. They are really cool and I really feel that they are talented and they have such a great opportunity to be on the show. You can never really tell what the judges are really talking about. I wish that was something they can share with us but I have no ill feelings towards Ringmasters or any of the judges. I’m happy the way it went down. We got to be on TV and got a second chance and got to show the world what we can do. That’s all what we wanted to do.
If you had to chance or do anything different what would you do?
The only thing I would really want to change it for us to stay on the show. But other than that I really felt that we gave it our all. We have no regrets especially with the whole controversy of the whole rock theme. People though we were switching up on style but really it is just a theme to put on a show. I felt that all the hard work we put into it I would never change it. I have no regrets on the show.
What will you take away from being on the show?
Being on the show and coming back for a second time. We knew that by putting ourselves out there we were setting ourselves up for criticism and for me personally I love criticism because it helps me get better as a dancer and as a person. That is definitely one thing I’m going to take. I know that even after getting cut after the second season and having the courage to go for it again the third season and actually making it. It was a great feeling and I’m definitely going to learn from all this stuff we went through. Even with just the crew itself during rehearsals whenever we would rehearse if there is any disagreements about anything it would definitely help us grow closer with the crew.
How did you guys get along with the other crews? Were there any crews you felt closest with?
We tried to get along with everyone. The way TM works is that we are such people-people. We just like being around people especially people who share the same passion for dance with us. We hung out with Dynamic Edition a lot because they were our neighbors as long as Ringmasters and Beat Freaks. Pretty much anyone on the west coast we pretty knew before the show because of the dance circuit. Hanging out with the Beat Freaks was amazing there are such fun ladies. Quest is super hilarious. Boxcutthuz are amazing dancers. We just love hanging out with everyone.
What are your predictions? What crews do you like and how do you think its going to play out?
Being from the west coast and knowing that the west coast always produces the best dancers I’m going to have to put my money on Quest or Best Freaks but again with all the talent out there it can go anywhere.
What are Team Millennia plans for the future?
Well for us TM the possibilities are endless. We already have three established shows that we put on a year. One in northern California and one in southern California and just recently last year we started one in the east coast which usually happens around April. But as far as everything else we definitely plan to open a new studio because the studio that we are in isn’t the greatest. We will always continue to do everything that we love to do dance, perform, teaching, doing workshops all throughout California or even all throughout the United States. I know Jun likes to travel overseas a lot to teach and same with Jed. I have done it a couple times and we are just on continue to grow as a crew and as a team and as an individual because this is what we love to do and what we do best.
Thank you so much! Is there anything else you would like to your fans out there?
Thank you for all the love and support. Being on the show was great and it’s not the end of TM (Team Millennia) just keep in touch and you will see us out there and you’ll see us on youtube.
I know that you are very busy and I just wanted to thank you for taking the time out to talk to us today. All of us here at BuddyTV wish you the best of luck in everything you do.
