America's Best Dance Crew 2 has been moving along at a rapid clip. It seems like the season just started yesterday, but already we are at the episode that will determine the final three.
With
Supreme Soul's departure last week, we have
Super Cr3w,
Fanny Pak,
SoReal Cru and judges' least-favorite
Boogie Bots left in the competition. Which crews look likely to land in the bottom two this week on
America's Best Dance Crew 2?
Well, I guess if I have learned anything from history, it's that Super Cr3w is not as liked by the public as the other crews, despite what the judges and I think about them. So I will have to assume that they are going to land in the bottom again, unless their basketball routine last week inspired anyone to switch allegiances to them. I do wonder if Supreme Soul and Super Cr3w would have much the same fan base, so the one way I could see them as safe is if the Supreme Soul fans now decided to vote for Super Cr3w since their first choice was eliminated.
As to the other spot, here's how any of the other three could wind up in the bottom two: Fanny Pak's performance last week was entertaining, but not one of their best. It veered a little too far afield from the dancing and focused too much on the skit. If others also feel they crossed that crucial line from winking campiness into the dreaded corniness, they might have lost some votes.
SoReal Cru's main weakness has been riding at the middle of the pack, and we are getting to a place where there isn't going to be a middle any longer. They don't have a flashy concept like Fanny Pak's over-the-top theatricality, Super Cr3w's b-boy athleticism or Boogie Bots…robots, I guess. Without that concept, it's hard to stand out, and they are going purely on their dance ability and personality.
Boogie Bots has had a strong response in the voting for America's Best Dance Crew 2 even as the judges have expressed dismay that they continue to have a presence. They might continue to squeak through unless the public has finally been shamed into not voting for them based on the stern lecturing from the judges.
