Colton Dixon and Jacee Badeaux fans, rejoice! They both promised we haven't seen the last of them on Ellen today, then performed better than some of the people still in the competition. Also, American Idol has announced the song contestants will receive their goodbye montage to: a David Cook cover of "Don't You Forget About Me." Oh. Just when I had, in fact, forgotten about David Cook. [EW.com]

Ellen had Almost-Top 24 contestants Colton Dixon and Jacee Badeaux on her show today (Thursday) and they both sang very well. Their interviews, on the other hand ... Take a look for yourself:




Jacee is 15, so we'll cut him a break. And Colton was actually quite charming, his hair proving that gravity is just a theory.




So Jacee will be back next year, and Colton Dixon hasn't given up on all his dreams. Good for them, I'm still sad about their departures. You?
