Should I apologize for being a bit cynical when I previewed last night's American Idol
performance show? I mean, the Rolling Stones oeuvre as performed by what many of you called the worst Top 12 the show ever had--what good will come out of that?
Well, it was better than I expected, with some contestants churning out their best performances yet--some doing so despite the odds (hello, Paige Miles). Others, well, didn't fare so well. But after last week's massive miss, it's much harder choosing who's going home tonight.

We at BuddyTV have our guesses. I mean, we call ourselves American Idol
experts precisely because we can make guesses (that, and we love the show). You too, our beloved readers--you too have your say, and you did so via the polls on Abbey's live thoughts last night
and on our little Fantasy TV game. But any amount of guessing will not easily determine who gets booted off tonight, so... fine, at least we tried.Top Choices for Elimination on FantasyTV:

Katie Stevens might make it to the bottom three, but Lacey Brown will be going home. The Worsters will save Tim once again.Henrik Batallones' bottom three:
Lacey Brown is going home. Really, it's pointless pegging Tim for the bottom three, much more for elimination, innit?
Indulge me in being cynical today, kids. As far as I can see, all of us think Tim Urban should be going home... but know it's not going to happen. Unless, of course, that's tonight's massive surprise elimination, in which case I'll jump with sheer glee--or sing along with one of tonight's musical guests. Blah, blah, blah.(Image courtesy of Fox)
