Garrett Haley is a 17 year old from Elida, Ohio who is a member of the American Idol Top 24 for season 7. Garrett Haley was a complete unknown throughout the audition process. He is kid who loves Christina Aguilera and The Backstreet Boys. Garrett Haley also enjoys playing soccer and video games.
Eliminated on February 19, Garrett did not even have a chance to sing a song of his choice. "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do" was given to him and he technically had no choice but to sing a song which he had never even heard before.
Nonetheless, the 17-year-old aspiring artist has his head in his goals, saying that he will still be open to any musical opportunity that does come his way.
"I plan on finishing school first, but like you said, I'm going to keep in touch with everybody here, like the staff from American Idol," Garrett said. "If anything pops up where they want me to come do or if they'll allow me to do little gigs or something, then I'm definitely going to jump on that, because you know all the experience I can get, I'm definitely going to do it."
However, he still does see the importance of finishing his studies first before becoming a star. "But right after school is when I'm going to hit it hard and I'm going to do everything that I can to become an artist."
