American Idol's Top 9 took on the songs of Elvis (Presley, not Costello, who was too busy making a cameo as himself on the series premiere of HBO's Treme this week).  What followed was a great performance ... by mentor Adam Lambert, whose talented tongue worked its magic on Abbey Simmons this week.

Check Out Abbey's Thoughts from the Performance Show>>

While Lambert's advice was spot-on, the singers sadly did not take it, offering up another sleepy performance we've seen before.  But who's going home and what did Abbey and I think of all the singers?  Listen to the full podcast for all the answers.

Here are some of the highlights:

-I really enjoyed Lee Dewyze, and for the first time ever, "A Little Less Conversation" became palatable to Abbey.  If you're not rooting for a Crystal Bowersox vs. Lee Dewyze finale, you're a fool.

-Michael Lynche is 100 percent safe, due in large part to all of his fans power-voting like there's no tomorrow after last week's shocking results.

-Both Abbey and I try to give some helpful advice to Siobhan Magnus on both the pronunciation of her first name and how she can stop boring the heck out of us every week despite raiding Lady Gaga's wardrobe before every show.

-Abbey and I are in total agreement that the Bottom 3 will feature Andrew Garcia, Katie Stevens and Aaron Kelly.

-Abbey and my heart say that Andrew and Katie are going home.  However, my brain offers a different opinion, thinking that Aaron will go.

-We find it remarkable that Tim Urban has survived this long, and we are both confident he won't even be in the Bottom 3 this week.  Even sadder is the fact that we currently see him making it to the Top 5 or even the Top 4.
