With less than two weeks to go until Christmas, are you listening to holiday music non-stop? And are you looking for some new covers and originals to add to the mix this month? If so, in today’s Roundup, we’ve got music by Kris Allen, Jordin Sparks, Lauren Alaina, Paul Jolley and Angie Miller.

Kris Allen Performs Original Tune

Season 8 winner Kris Allen held a Stageit show online on Thursday. And during the event, he debuted a brand-new original song — it’s so brand-new that it doesn’t even have a title yet. He mentions at the start, “I don’t even know the name of it.”

But that doesn’t matter because this is a Kris Allen performance through and through, with just Kris and his guitar, simple without needing to create a big production. At one point in the song, he sings, “It ain’t Christmas without you,” which I think is what the tune will be called eventually.

For all the Kris Allen fans out there, do you think he should release this at some point? Would you buy it?

Jordin Sparks and Glade Present “This is My Wish”

This next holiday song may sound familiar to you, and if so, it’s because part of it played during Glade commercials. But due to popular demand, they’re releasing a full-length version with season 6 winner Jordin Sparks at the helm, accompanied by the Young People’s Chorus of New York City.

In a press release, Jordin said, “As an artist, I undertsand that, like a great song, fragrance can evoke feel-good emotions. When I heard ‘This is My Wish,’ the music had the same effect on me, so I was thrilled when they asked me to join in creating this beautiful song as a gift for fans.”

If you’re wanting to own this song, then you’re in luck: now through December 31, you can click here to receive a free download.

Lauren Alaina Covers “My Grown Up Christmas List”

Now for a cover by season 10 runner-up Lauren Alaina. She told USA Today, who’s premiering the song, “I wanted to country it up a little bit. I’ve been singing it since I was little, at karaoke and stuff around Christmas.”

The tune is a collaboration with the Special Olympics, and proceeds will go towards that organization. As Lauren said, “The song’s about wanting equality and a world full of peace. It fits what I’m doing around Special Olympics perfectly.”

Paul Jolley Covers John Lennon’s “Happy Christmas”

Season 12’s Paul Jolley has released his own cover, of John Lennon’s “Happy Christmas,” on a three-track digital album that includes a karaoke version. It is available to buy from Bandcamp for $2.49. And a 90-second preview can be listened to below.

And if all of those tracks weren’t enough to get you into the holiday spirit, Paul’s fellow season 12 finalist Angie Miller has released a lyric video for her Christmas single “This Christmas Song,” which is available to buy from Amazon and iTunes.

Do you have a favorite holiday song from these five? And out of the ones that are available, are you going to buy any?
