Carrie Underwood is about to step on the biggest stage of her life. Sure, she's won American Idol and four Grammys, but come February 7th she'll be singing The Star Spangled Banner for the 90 million plus folks who tune in to Superbowl XLIV. E! Online's Mark Malkin broke the national anthem news this morning on his Twitter.

Carrie will be following in the footsteps of some fellow Idol contestants. Jennifer Hudson sang the national anthem at last years' super bowl and in 2008 the then reigning winner Jordin Sparks belted out the Star Spangled Banner. Carrie won't be the only big name star singing at this years Super Bowl, Queen Latifah will also be performing "America the Beautiful" and The Who will be rocking the game's big half time show.

Which Idol would you most like to sing the Star Spangled Banner at next years Super Bowl?
