'American Idol' Roundup: Yes to Lady Gaga, No to Paula Abdul
In today's edition of the American Idol roundup, we've got bits on Paula Abdul's rumored (and denied) return, more on the the Crystal Bowersox almost quits story, and a just ousted contestants return to the Idol stage.

But first, Lady Gaga confirms on her Twitter account that she is performing on American Idol on May 5. Judging from the link she posted on her tweet, she might be performing "Telephone":

Perez Hilton reports that the show's producers have denied rumors that they're considering bringing Paula Abdul back to Idol. Late last week there was word that the producers realized the judges' panel wasn't as fun as it used to be, and reports say they're considering bringing her back as a fifth judge this year. But "there's no truth to that rumor," according to executive producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz.

There's still some reaction to news last week that Crystal Bowersox considered to quit the show. There were a couple of tweets from the frontrunner over the weekend, reacting to news that she almost quit to return to her family, only to be convinced by Ryan Seacrest to do otherwise:

The Port Clinton News-Herald caught up with her grandfather, Keith Bowersox, and all he said was this: "I haven't heard anything about that. I had no idea. I have nothing to say." There's a big discussion going on right her on BuddyTV about this story and you should join it.

And finally, expect two more people to pop up in this week's Idol Gives Back: recently-tossed Katie Stevens confirms that she and Andrew Garcia are rehearsing with the Top 7 (or maybe the Top 12?) for a performance on Wednesday night's show.

In case you haven't noticed, most of these news items are on Twitter. Fun, huh?
