And pandemonium ensues. First posted on Adam Lambert's Twitter page, confirmation that his first album after
American Idol will be released on November 24.
And I say pandemonium because of two things. One, his album, which he promised to be an "eclectic" mix of dance pop and glam rock, will be released exactly a week after season 8 winner Kris Allen releases his.

Judging from how last season's finale panned out, I'm seeing a scenario that's somewhat similar to that from season 7, when runner-up David Archuleta and winner David Cook released their debut albums one week apart. This time, I'll have to say we have a very rabid bunch of Glamberts, and we have very vocal Kris fans, too, so it's similarly unpredictable. And similarly, uhm, noisy.
Two, it's become some sort of Twitter war. I first found out about Adam's album release on Twitter, but not because I follow him there--it's because the hashtag #AdamAlbumNov24 has been trending for the past hour or so. I'm guessing Kris fans would be rallying back a bit by putting #ilovekris, which trended yesterday, back on top. (At least it isn't that #adamfarted topic that Danny Gokey started, if I got it right.)
So, again, a review: Kris Allen's album on Noveember 17; Adam Lambert's album on November 24; Danny Gokey's album around March; and Allison Iraheta's album sometime "November-ish". I told you. It will happen in only a couple of months or so.
So much for Adam's supposed album of pre-Idol material. What happened to that? Summer is almost over...
