This fall's edition of American Horror Story has added yet another big name -- this time from the world of music. And speaking of big names, Geena Davis has landed a major role on Grey's Anatomy. Read on for all the details, including casting news for Nashville, The Following, Agents of SHIELD, Royal Pains and The Mentalist.

American Horror Story: Freak Show is available on Amazon Prime.

Patti LaBelle Joins American Horror Story: The legendary singer has signed on for four episodes of Freak Show, the fourth season that'll air this fall. She'll be playing Gabourey Sidibe's mother. While we don't have a name yet, an insider told TVLine that she ends up on a journey to figure out all the various secrets surrounding Twisty the clown killer. But for all you Patti fans out there, bad news: she won't be singing.

Geena Davis Playing a Surgeon on Grey's Anatomy: The Oscar winner is returning to ABC (after having played the first female president on Commander in Chief), this time as a Grey Sloan Memorial surgeon on the long-running medical drama. We don't know who she's playing just yet, but it's considered a major guest arc for the actress, according to The Hollywood Reporter, who is joining the show in the midst of a lot of change, including the exit of original cast member Sandra Oh this past spring.

Meredith's Mother Returns to Grey's Anatomy: Geena Davis isn't the only addition to season 11; we'll also be seeing the return of Kate Burton as Meredith's mother. The season 10 finale revealed that Margaret Pierce, the new head of cardio, is Meredith's half-sister. So it looks like it's time for the return of the flashbacks with Ellis Grey. Shonda Rhimes told TV Guide that the revelation has been "layered in" to the show. "It's not a thing where we're going in and backdating. It's literally always been layered into the storyline. We can literally go back and pull out moments of the show and I'm excited to do so, and point out where it was talked about. It's not going to be so hard to do."

Alexa Vega and Brette Taylor Stop by Nashville: They'll of course do more than just stop by -- it wouldn't be Nashville without the drama. We still remember her as the child star from Spy Kids, but now Vega has been cast in a multi-episode arc as Kiley, a mother to a 10-year-old boy. She shows up in town to try and get their lives on a more stable footing. But what's her connection to the characters we already know? Well, she's none other than Gunner's "high school sweetheart," as reported by TVLine. Is there a bombshell waiting to explode, considering she has a son? Most likely. And Brette Taylor will also be in multiple episodes, as she's been cast in a major recurring role as Luke's new backup singer named Pam. She's described as being "sultry" and "extroverted" by TVLine, but after becoming a "muse" to Deacon, her past reveals itself -- and it's not all sunshine and rainbows.

Zuleikha Robinson is an ER Doctor on The Following: Her character's name is Gwen. And not only is she a doctor and a mother, but she's also a love interest for none other than Ryan Hardy. Deadline says that this could be his "first real chance at a family and true happiness." But that could all come tumbling down because of the conspiracy putting NYC under siege. There will be plenty of time to see how this unfolds as Robinson is signing on as a series regular.

Kyle MacLachlan is Skye's Father (and Henry Simmons is a Mechanic) on Agents of SHIELD: There's been a lot of mystery surrounding Skye's parents on the Marvel drama, and now we're getting closer to finding out even more with the addition of the Desperate Housewives alum, according to Entertainment Weekly. The inaugural season ended with Raina approaching someone with a photo of Skye, saying, "I found your daughter." Now we know who's playing that mystery person. And TVLine notes that Henry Simmons has a recurring role as a mechanic named Alphonso "Mac" Mackenzie. And that's all we know for now, unfortunately.

Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick on Royal Pains: The Kardashians have invaded everywhere else, so why not this USA drama? TV Guide reports that they'll be playing themselves in the season 6 finale, which airs on September 2. At a Hamptons diner, Charlotte spots the reality show stars and wants Evan to introduce her to them. Executive producer Michael Rauch tweeted out a photo of the two with Mark Feuerstein, which you can see here.

Morena Baccarin Returning to The Mentalist: The actress will step back into the shoes of Erika Flynn next season -- in episode three, to be exact, according to EW. Here's the official episode description: "Jane teams up with Erika Flynn in Beirut, Lebanon, where he and Lisbon have gone at the request of the CIA to take down an international weapons dealer. Erika has agreed to help Jane and the CIA in exchange for a pardon on the murder charges she's still facing and the chance to return to the US. But as always, Erika has agendas of her own, one of which may or may not be inserting herself between Jane and Lisbon."
