Following the release of the names of most of the male and female participants on NBC's upcoming primetime revival of American Gladiators, new details about the identities of the remaining male gladiators have surfaced the internet.

As reported last week, five male gladiators have already been named, which leaves Toa and Hammer as the unnamed gladiator and the unnamed alternate gladiator, respectively.  Now, curious fans can get to know the persons behind these aliases.

Toa is being pointed as Tanoai Reed in real life.  Although known as the cousin of actor/wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Reed has already established himself as an award-winning Hollywood stunt man who had his big break on the set of Kevin Costner's Waterworld in 1995. Since then, he has worked as a stunt double in more than 20 films, including Daredevil, The Rundown, Gridiron Gang, Walking Tall, The Scorpion King and Doom.  He has also forayed into acting with Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Dark Justice, The Stepfod Wives, Constantine and Batman Legends.

As for Hammer, he is named Michael Briehler in real life.  Briehler is a recent graduate of Rider University Business School with a degree in Entrepreneurship Studies.  He has spent many years training in several aspects of fitness, ranging from a personal trainer to achieving a professional status in natural bodybuilding.  He is also a professional model.

Tanoai Reed and Michael Briehler will be joining the men of American Gladiators, consisting of kickboxer Jesse Smith (Justice), bodybuilder Alex Castro (Militia), actor William Romeo (Mayhem), powerlifting champion Mike O'Hearn (Titan), and rodeo bullfighter Don “Hollywood” Yates (Wolf), when American Gladiators premieres with a special two-hour broadcast on Sunday, January 6 at 9pm ET/PT and with its one-hour episodes in its regular time slot every Monday at 8pm ET/PT beginning January 7 on NBC.
