American Dad The animated American Dad isn't an official spin-off of Family Guy, but it might as well be. Created in the aftermath of the 2004 presidential election, American Dad makes it living satirizing the uber-patriotic. This is another case of a show just not being funny. There really isn't much else to say. I'm a Family Guy addict, but American Dad doesn't do it for me and I'm surprised it's still on the air.
