Tim Nichols is an American actor and producer born in Phoenix, Arizona. While in the fifth grade, he played an extra in American Anthem, a film starring Olympic gold-winning gymnast Mitch Gaylord. Tim Nichols claimed that he wanted to be a gymnast afterwards, but eventually turned to acting instead. After studying comedy at the Star Theater in Scottsdale and performing with a local improvisation troupe, he acted in a number of regional and national commercials. He met writer and filmmaker Sam Greene during the production of an independent movie, and would later be cast in Greene’s next project for Comedy Central, American Body Shop.
Tim is played by Tim Nichols in the Comedy Central television show American Body Shop. Though he projects the image of being fat and lazy, he’s also adept and streetwise in a number of scams, such as rigging an electric meter and stealing cable TV. Because of his intelligence, Tim is Sam’s most exasperating employee, and the most likely to ignore rules and stage a coup against his boss. Tim is also a skilled painter and clear coat specialist, but is constantly foul and aggravating to everyone around him, often while stuffing his face with any food he can scrounge up.
