John DiResta is an American actor and former policeman born in Queens, New York. The son of a fireman, he was the captain of his high school football team before being sworn into the New York City Police Department, where he served for twelve years as a transit cop. During this time, he also became active in the police's Homeless Outreach program, helping the city's numerous people living on the street. John DiResta eventually turned to stand-up comedy, with his one-man show BEAT getting sold to Paramount and his sitcom DiResta being shown on UPN. He's also worked on the movies 15 Minutes and Miss Congeniality, and guest-starred in series such as Judging Amy and
Malcolm in the Middle .

American Body Shop . A self-described ‘suspension specialist,' he claims to have arrived in the Arizona countryside because of the Witness Protection Program. He's working hard to try and turn his life around as a semi-alcoholic, following his own modified version of the 12-Step Program with around 20-30 steps. He's also Italian, and has been involved with the Chinese Mafia, dealing in their seedy and illegal fireworks trade. Johnny claims to miss the rough-and-tumble action of his old crime-filled life, and enjoys both illegal gambling and women's basketball.
