Regina Hall was born on December 12, 1970 in Washington, D.C. She went on to pursue higher learning at New York University, and graduated in 1997 with a Master’s degree in journalism. Not long after that, she chose to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Among the television productions she has worked on are Loving, New York Undercover, and NYPD Blue. She has also acted in a number of feature films, among them the Scary Movie series, Once Upon A Time In The Hood, and Malibu’s Most Wanted. Hall was nominated during the 2003 NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Corretta Lipp is portrayed by Regina Hall in the Fox network’s Emmy Award-winning television comedy series Ally McBeal.
