Previously, Billy Miller left his role as bad boy Richie Novak on All My Children to play the often recast Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless.  Now, it seems that a trade has been made as Vincent Irizarry, who previously portrayed David Chow on The Young and the Restless, is now headed to All My Children's Pine Valley.

"Vincent Irizarry will return to All My Children, playing the role of Dr. David Hayward," a show spokesperson confirmed to Soap Central.

Irizarry originated the role of the narcissistic Dr. David Hayward in 1997 but was eventually let go from the soap after almost 10 years of portraying the character due to a lack of storyline.  When last seen in 2006, David left town because he was rejected by the woman he loved, Dixie (Cady McClain).  Evidently, he left Pine Valley with some damage that would have ripple effects for months to come.  He told Dixie and Tad (Michael E. Knight) that their then-missing daughter, Kate, was really Emma McDermott.  Additionally, he also informed Dixie that Krystal was carrying Tad's child, which, eventually led to Krystal and Adam's breakup.

So what kind of havoc will David wreak when he arrives in Pine Valley?  Fans will just have to stay tuned when Irizarry returns to All My Children this fall.

Prior to his roles on All My Children and The Young and the Restless, Vincent Irizarry got his start in daytime television in 1983 as Brandon/Lujack Luvonaczek on Guiding Light.  At the time, he was paired with Judi Evans Luciano and they were considered a "supercouple."  During his Guiding Light stint, he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 1985 but unfortunately lost to future All My Children co-star Michael E. Knight.  He also portrayed the role of Nick McHenry Spaulding on the show from 1991 to 1996.
