Taylor Gildersleeve who was born in 1991, originally auditioned for the role of Colby Chandler for All My Children but instead landed the role of Sydney Harris. She was more comical and youthful, thus losing the role to Ambyr Childers who played Colby Chandler in a more mature way. She said that when she was young, she attended acting classes and had a passion for it. Her acting coach had also supported her well by encouraging her to audition.

Sydney Harris is portrayed by Taylor Gildersleeve in All My Children. Sydney is Colby Chandler's friend and is assistant housekeeper at the Chandler mansion where she lives with her aunt Winifred. She is also a student at Pine Valley High School.
