Justin Bruening was born on September 24, 1979 in St. Helena, Nebraska. After graduating high school he moved to San Diego, California where he was discovered by a modeling agent at a restaurant. His first modeling job was for Abercrombie & Fitch. Later he studied acting and while he was doing this, Judy Wilson, All My Children's casting director, discovered him. He was originally cast as JR Chandler but landed a role as James Martin, a character that appeared in All My Children and
One Life To Live . He also appeared as a guest in Hope & Faith and Britney Spear's music video "Boys".
Jamie Martin is played by Justin Bruening in the soap opera All My Children. Jamie Martin is the son of Tad Martin and Brooke English and has five siblings. He accidentally slept with the wife of his stepbrother and almost got her pregnant. He later dated Julia Santos. He was also known for committing crimes and like underage drinking, assault, stealing, breaking into a limo, drug possession, kidnapping, and attacking a police officer.
