Cameron Arthur Mathison was born on August 25, 1969 in Sarnia, Ontario. He was educated at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec where he graduated with a degree in civil engineering. He knew early on that he wanted to become an actor but his aptitude was exemplary, thus he continued studying until he graduated from college. After college he tried out modeling to bring in the extra cash and this lasted for four years. He then started taking acting classes, and with the help of a good agency he started landing roles left and right. His appearances include feature movies like 54, Any Mother's Son, The Defenders, and FX. In 1998 he was cast for a role in the soap opera All My Children. Mathison's other hobbies include photography, basketball, golf, swimming and skiing.
Ryan Lavery is played by Cameron Mathison on the soap opera All My Children. Ryan is the son of Patrick and Gail Lavery Curry and has three siblings, Braden, Jonathan and Erin. He first appeared when he helped Alexander Cambias on his deathbed in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Cambrias fortune was left to Ryan when Alexander found out that Michael Cambias had raped Bianca Montgomery. Ryan returned to Pine Valley upon discovering that Bianca was pregnant with Michael's baby. Ryan was also previously married to Gillian Andrassy and Greenlee Smythe DuPres.
