Ambyr Childers was born in 1988 in Murrieta, California. Her first appearance was as Barbie in the film Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star. She plays Colby Chandler in All My Children and has appeared in numerous television commercials. She also appeared in the series S Club 7. In 2003 she played young Carolina in the film of the same name.

Colby Chandler is played by Ambyr Childers on the soap All My Children. Colby was conceived through artificial insemination and Adam Chandler's devious plan of switching the sperm cells so that she was formed with his sperm instead of Jake Martin's. Although her parents had an off and on relationship, she was still close to her father. When her mother Liza left Pine Valley, she took Colby with her. She returned when she was fifteen, escaping her mother and driving back to Pine Valley. She initially liked Sean Montgomery, a newcomer in town and was determined to keep him away from Sydney Harris. When she turned sixteen Sean, along with other friends, stole away the Montgomery yacht where Colby gave herself to Sean just to distract him from Sydney. This was a decision she regretted.
