Alexa Carol Havins was born November 16, 1980 in Artesia, New Mexico. Her first major break was being cast for the film The Crow: Wicked Prayer. In 2003, she was cast for the role of Babe Carey in All My Children. In 2006, she made a guest appearance on Rescue Me. She was nominated for a Soap Opera Digest Award and a Daytime Emmy Award in 2005 but lost them to co-star Eden Riegel.

Arabella "Babe" Carey is portrayed by Alexa Havins on the soap opera All My Children. Babe used to be a waitress in a restaurant on a ship at the docks. When she met and married a wealthy JR Chandler, she moved to Pine Valley. On her first night there she slept with Jamie, whom she did not know was her husband's step brother. She was introduced to the Chandler family as JR's new wife and Jamie was shocked to find out that Babe was the woman who took away his virginity. Adam did not approve of her as JR's new wife so he planned to separate the couple. Babe then became pregnant and Jamie admitted to JR that he slept with his wife. However, it was later proven that JR was the father of her baby, and not Jamie.
