All My Children is about to lose some of its cast members by the end of the year.  Beginning the exodus is cast member Justin Bruening, who has already taped his final scenes with the ABC soap.

Following months of speculations, an All My Children spokesperson has confirmed that Bruening, who plays James "Jamie" Martin, will exit the soap as he has not opted to renew his contract.  Bruening's departure hasn't exactly been a secret as rumors about his departure have been circulating the news since early this year.  On the other hand, Bruening isn't the only cast member expected to exit the series.

Alexa Havins, who plays Babe Chandler, is also expected to follow costar Bruening, who is also her real-life husband, when her contract expires later this year.  Although there is no word yet from ABC regarding Havins' confirmed exit, her departure from the show is a virtually done deal, according to Soapcentral's source.  Moreover, the show is also planning to recast the role of Babe in the event of Havins' exit.

Aside from the real-life couple, Emmy-nominated actress Kelli Giddish will also leave the role of Di Henry before the year comes to an end.

Two years ago, Giddish was taken in as a possible recast of the supposedly dead Dixie Martin but the character languished without story for much of Giddish's stint in All My Children.  Upon the re-hiring of Cady McClain to portray the real Dixie, much of Giddish's storylines disappeared, including her romantic plot with Tad and with Aidan.  The situation worsened when the show's writers opted to write off Dixie Martin since Giddish's Di was linked to the return of Dixie.

According to a show insider, Giddish and AMC execs have mutually decided to part ways.  A final airdate has not yet been announced for Giddish.
